Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Chess Champion — Play & Learn ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

The App is developed and operated by Svelte Solutions (SMC-Private) Limited("we," "our," or "us").

2. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices in the App.

3. User Accounts

The App does not require user accounts or registration. All game data (progress, settings, preferences) is stored locally on your device. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device changes, factory resets, or app uninstallation.

4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

4.1 Chess Champion Pro

The App offers a premium subscription tier called "Chess Champion Pro" with the following options:

• Monthly: Auto-renewing monthly subscription.
• Yearly: Auto-renewing yearly subscription.
• Lifetime: One-time, non-recurring purchase granting permanent Pro access.

4.2 Payment & Billing

All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to the respective store's payment terms. Subscription auto-renewal can be managed in your device's store settings.

4.3 Refunds

Refund requests are subject to the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not process refunds directly. Please contact the respective store for refund inquiries.

5. Advertising

The free version of the App displays advertisements served by third-party ad networks (Google AdMob). Chess Champion Pro subscribers will not see advertisements. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, and content, is the intellectual property of Svelte Solutions (SMC-Private) Limited and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

The chess engine used in the App (Stockfish) is open-source software distributed under the GNU General Public License v3. Our use of Stockfish complies with the terms of its license.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SVELTE SOLUTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your license to use the App will immediately cease.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Svelte Solutions (SMC-Private) Limited is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
